Happy Thanksgiving!

Just a very quick post to wish all of our friends and family a very Happy Thanksgiving!!

I cannot quite get into the Christmas spirit until Thanksgiving is over BUT I did manage to bake about 10 dozen sugar/Christmas cookies tonight with my "free time." Oh yea, did I mention I am off work until December 17th atleast and maybe through Christmas if that runs into our "moving time."

Dave and I have been working our tails off at the house in a desperate attempt to get the basement done, or near done before we move in. Yesterday I painted and Dave finished the ceramic tile in the bathroom and "kitchenette" area. Today we spent the morning grouting all of it. I have learned many new skills lately and grouting is one that isn't too bad. We FINALLY got our driveway and walkway poured yesterday thanks to my persistent but polite husband.

We have been getting on our builder about getting it done before it gets too cold. The good thing is, is that this guy is SO easy to work with and flexible about what we want in our house. The bad thing is, is that he is SO nice that sometimes the subs take advantage of that. ANYWAY, Dave met with him Thursday morning to go over several things and found out that the "concrete guys" put us off AGAIN until what would be the day before Thanksgiving. So, Dave walked half a block from our house and found a crew that was finishing up another driveway and agreed to do ours next. :)

Emma is off the rest of the week therefore progress may be a little slow. Both of the girls don't find "visiting" the house much fun anymore. Maybe a new video on the portable DVD player will help. Dave's mom has had Lauren for the past two mornings so we could get a little done.

Hope everyone is well and ready to eat, eat, eat!!!
Happy Thanksgiving !!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I WILL USE THIS BLOG TO WISH EVERYONE A BLESSED DAY. Things have gone so wonderful these past few months. I know we all are anxious for the home to be finished but I am going to MISS them all sooooo much. Nothin better then a good nite kiss and hug and reading a bedtime story or two or three!
