Miscellaneous....
Miscellaneous thoughts are all I am good for today.
First of all, my camera, which is more like an addiction is down for the count....
I had to take it in to the camera store and they had to send it off to "Canon" to get it fixed...
Oh yea, did I mention it will be $120. Oh well, gotta have it.
So anyway, I will be borrowing Stacy's old one for now because I have to have a digital camera.
I discovered it was broken while arriving at the pumkin patch last weekend. So, I had to buy a ten dollar disposable thing. (I couldn't stand the thought of not having this year's pics of the pumpkin patch.
Second of all, Saturday morning Dave noticed that our minivan had been hit somewhere, somehow and caused some damage. We then noticed that there was red transfer paint on it, so we started to backtrack thinking where this could have happened at. Hmmm! So, we get home later that day and mention it to dad, who says, "you know, that could have been me." (ok, seriously the easiest confession I've ever gotten). he went on to explain that Dave had "parked it all funky" in the driveway and that he "may have" ran into the fire hydrant. After some quick measurments, we had our suspect in custody. Ted, I think he needs representation. Anyway, I was all angry at this "hit and run" driver, then when I found out Dad had done it, I was sad. How can you be mad at that. :) So, that needs fixed.
oh, and did I mention that the brakes need work too on it. I guess it's due after 3 trips to Colorado and 3 trips to Minnesota. Gotta have it.
Good thing mom talked me into going to "Thrift World" tonight to shop for Halloween costumes. I bought both girls their costumes for $10 total. Yippee. Emma only wanted to be something "very scary." She was so worked up last year when she was a witch and everyone kept saying, "oh what a cute witch." She would respond (sometimes not so politely) "I am NOT a cute witch, I am a SCARY witch." Anyway, Lauren is going to be an adorable ladybug. I fell in love with this plastic chicken outfit. (Yes, you read that right) It is a riot and I decided to buy it. (hey, that rhymes) Anyway, mom and I were worried on the way home because it is definately not scary. So I pulled it out of the bag and Emma said, "mom, that's not very scary." Oh how I love 5 year olds and the fact that you can lie to them. I told her that usually a chicken is only "this tall" BUT her chicken outfit was so big that it made it very scary. SOLD!!! and it helps that Lauren is somewhat hesitant of Emma dressed in that big yellow plastic thing. Anyway, Emma wouldn't hardly take it off tonight and said she is going Trick Or Treating tomorrow.
How 'bout them Huskers. As I have heard a guy say at work...."A pimple hurts the most right before it explodes." (nasty huh) Well, the Huskers have exploded BUT atleast the University has figured that out and has made some changes hopefully to get the program back on track. We still are huge fans but don't expect a whole lot the rest of the season. Adios Peterson, Callahan? and Cosgrove? (Don't tell Brian, he is ready to have a heart attack and the mere thought of them firing his "best friend" Bill Callahan)
Rain! Rain! Rain! Have I ever mentioned that several days without seeing the sun can be a real downer. I think there is an actual "depression thing" that is associated with not seeing the sun for awhile. 5 or so inches in 3 days is plenty and I can do without the thunder all night long. Brother!
"The house" is moving along quite well. (yes, there cannot be an entry without the mention of "the house"......sorry! I spoke with one of the "drywallers" today who speaks pretty good English :) and he thinks they will be totally done on Wed or Thu of this week. It looks completely different in there. When Emma first saw it she was so excited...it was amazing. She kept jumping up and down and yelling, "it looks like a house, it looks like a house." Yep, finally. Anyway, thanks to mom and dad watching the girls on Saturday, Dave and I got a lot accomplished in the shopping dept.
Tomorrow is bosses day!
When will they have a general employee day?
As you can see, the thoughts are becoming more and more random. I guess that means my head is empty, which means it's bedtime.
