I suppose...
that it's time for a blog entry....
We are all fine despite Marina Claire's new ear infection. We have all had minor colds but seriously nothing to complain about.
Marina is crawling everywhere and is now pulling herself up on the couch and in her crib, which is SO cute. She loves to copy what the other girls do and is developing quite the little personality.
This is the last week of school Emma. She is thrilled to be out but told me tonight that she will really miss her teachers this summer. :) I don't think the teachers will quite be saying that about the kids. (Right Amy?) Anyway, we are leaving Friday for our yearly trip to Minnesota. The girls are extra excited this year. They both can't wait to take boat rides and "fish." I better really be a good "packer" this year since we have diapers and other things including another child. :) Emma has already warned Lauren that if she wants to share a room with her that she can't talk all night long.
Dave survived last week with me in Vegas. I called home several times and Emma even said she was having "the best day ever." Her "best day ever" included dinner at McDonalds and ice cream. Yea for dad. They were SO fine without me and Dave is SO awesome taking care of them without me.
I won't go on and on about Vegas because you know what they say....."what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." BUT I will say that I had the best three days of little to no responsibilities. I went with three other girls, two of which I work with and we really enjoyed ourselves. Yes, of course I missed the girls and Dave but had a wonderful break too.
The highlight of the trip was definitely being within feet of George Clooney. He was there filming his latest movie and Angie and I were in the perfect place and the perfect time. Wow, he is just as good looking in person as he is on TV. Anyway, of course we shared our "sighting" with many (probably too many) people in Vegas.
We ate some great food and of course had some great slushy drinks in the 90 degree weather. I was even brave enough to "lay out" at the pool for a couple hours. I was probably the only one there wearing SPF 70. What's the point of burning if there's no result right? Anyway, it was relaxing and I didn't get burned at all!!!

Ok . . the plaid couple .. i can't tell if the one on the left is a man or woman?!? the earrings suggest woman but the body is clearly man-ish?!?! These pictures are priceless!! I would LOVE to know what pink lady is looking at!!
LOL Great stuff...and I agree, daddy did great. He sure didn't need any help from me! xoxo
Glad to hear you had such a good time. Everyone needs (and deserves) a break from the responsibilities of life.
Sarah, you're right, teachers can't wait for summer! We count the days just as much as the kids. :)
Have fun on your fishing trip.
