Happy Birthday Emma!!

Yesterday was Emma's 5th birthday. It is hard to believe it has been five years but it is even harder to remember life without our little "Em." I won't get sappy because that's really not my style, but it's been a great 5 years and hard to believe that in a month, she will be starting school.

We had a Spongebob party of course at grandma and grandpa's house even though mom/grandma isn't quite a Spongebob fan yet. Everything was perfect including a really sweet phonecall from her cousin Mackenzie in Hawaii.

Emma got tons of great presents including a fish bowl and net for her first "pet." Of course aunt Stacy is responsible for that gift but it was approved prior to purchase and I guess I can't complain about a fish for a pet. :)
She also got "Spongebob Operation" from grandma and grandpa. Why is it that even after twenty some years, that crazy buzz still makes me jump.
And, she is really proud of her "two wheeler" also known as a bicycle. She rides it quite fast around the sidewalks which kind of freaks me out already. (I didn't think I was such a nervous nellie.) She has already asked for the training wheels to be taken off. NO WAY!!!

Oh yea......the day Emma was born was 104 degrees and today was real close to that as you can see by her red and sweaty face after some "two wheeling." :)

This Saturday marks the four week point of our inhabitance at grandma and grandpa's. I have to HONESTLY say that things could not be going any better than they are. We totally appreciate their patience and willingness to help out ALL THE TIME.

Thanks also to aunt Stacy who kept the kids for a morning while we did some "house stuff" and while we got ready for the big party yesterday. :)

Happy Birthday sweet Emma Elane! You are still as cute and sweet (albeit a *bit* more talkative!) as the day you were born. We love you!
