The Spizzirri Rollcall

This was created to keep our families and friends updated in all of our adventures and because I need something to do with the many pictures I take.

Happy 4th of July!!

Hope everyone had as great of a 4th as we all did here. It has been a while since I have posted and I have so many great pictures to post so I am not going to ramble too much.

We have been at mom and dad's now for 2 weeks and things are going really well so far. Tonight Emma told me that she wants to live here way past October..... (don't tell the builder.)

We are settled into a routine which helps tremendously and everyone respects everyone else's routines. I even don't mind cooking as living with a housefull of people actually gives me someone to cook for and that's nice for a change.

The poor girls visit our "lot" sometimes twice a day. Dave goes during the day and I tend to go at night after dinner just to check up on the progress of it. It is becoming more real everyday as we can now see the rooms etc. Although it is exciting, it is a little scary because you always hope that all the planning will be perfect (or near perfect) in the end. It is amazing how small the rooms look sometimes, then the next day they can look big.

Anyway, Emma has made friends with "Carlos" the framer. She is thrilled to hear him speak Spanish and she even had to show him how she could count in Spanish. anyway, I met him today and he is very nice and speaks great English. His crew have worked so hard this last week and have really gotten quite a bit finished already. They will be putting the roof on tomorrow we think.

We had a terriffic 4th of July and boy was I really dragging this morning when the alarm went off at 5. I'm not sure why I didn't think to take today off of work...oh well.

Emma was thrilled because grandma and grandpa's neighborhood has a parade where all the kids dress up and decorate their bikes. Well they all line up at 10 o'clock and then they begin down this hill to the park. WELL...all the kids I think thought it was a race instead of a parade and they took off to win the "race." Emma got going a little fast down the hill and Dave had to RUN in his sandals to catch up with her. Once she got to the bottom of the hill and to the park, she asked grandma where the parade was.... :) Maybe they should pick a flat street next year.

Of course we ate well and lit off fireworks to top off the night. Yea, yea, fireworks are illegal! The kids had a great time playing out in the yard and we enjoyed some competetive games of "prairie golf."

I am headed to bed now but here's a ton of pictures to make up for this week.
