Happy New Year!

Happy 2007 and yippee for snow....FINALLY! We always welcome snow at our house and actually get "crabby" if we don't feel we get our share. I know, we're wierd. We had a very enjoyable new year's eve. Went to mom and dad's for a fabulous rib feast and dessert and then chex mix and a couple drinks.
As you can see, Emma had a terriffic night also. She wanted to sled down the little hill in mom and dad's backyard but then there's the walking up the hill part of it AND nobody really wanted to wear themselves out pulling her around on her sled.
So Dave tried this redneck type version of sledding but it was worth all the wierd stares that they may have gotten by people out and about. Emma had a blast and although I could hear her yelling and laughing, I could hear Dave yelling too. We barely talked her into coming in to eat before her and Dave were back outside under the street light doing it all again. We used all of grandpa's gas but he didn't mind.

A really big thank you to mom and dad who spent a few hours over here on New Year's Day babysitting the girls so Dave and I could have the opportunity to work a very good part time job together. We don't work a lot of part times but this is the one we try to "get hooked up with" every year. We went down to ConAgra and worked the fireworks show, which is always cold but a good show. We got home about 8:30, Lauren and Emma were both in bed YEAH! Thanks mom and dad!!

Well Preschool starts again, thank goodness a routine again!

We wish all of you a wonderful and peaceful 2007!!!

Thanks for ignoring the weather and coming over. We had a great time and New Year's Eve would have been too quiet.
