soccer practice and sweat

Today was Emma's first soccer practice. She did fairly well but seemed to be a little more interested in her teammates names and ages and water breaks. It is rediculously hot here and I think that has put a damper on everyones energy level.

Hopefully no thunderstorms tonight. Emma woke up at about 4am this morning pounding at her door. Dave got up to see what she needed and when he came back to bed he said that she wanted him to lay with her because she had watched the news and it was supposed to storm. We haven't sat down to watch the news in days but when we do she gets all bent out of shape when she sees a lightning bolt in the forecast. Anyway, goodnight for now!

Go, Emma! She looks so grown up in that soccer uniform.
Yea, I heard you all have been having hot weather. I told my dad today that it's really bad when Nebraska is hotter than places like Africa and Hawaii! It's been hot here, but at least we have the winds to keep it a little cooler.

Awwww! Look at my sweet girl in her uniform! I'll have to get the practice details tomorrow. And when are you going to post our "painting method" pictures so that we can have a vote on who's right?

Soccer, sounds like a lot of fun!!! Emma looks ready to hit the field. In your previous post Uncle Harv looks like he's doing a great job supervising! He's so good he can do it with his eyes closed:)
