The Spizzirri Rollcall

This was created to keep our families and friends updated in all of our adventures and because I need something to do with the many pictures I take.

Just a little TV

Just a little T.V. never hurts. Lauren actually is fascinated with the TV cause of all the colors I think. Anyway, Aunt Stacy and Uncle Ted got her this awesome purple chair that she sits great in. She just smiles and thinks she is big stuff. Emma still enjoys her Sesame Street chair eventhough she is just about grown out of it.

Wow, how fast they change!

Today Lauren is three months old and I just can't believe how quickly she is changing. It is kind of sad, but mostly she is much more fun. She truly smiles all the time and puts up with Emma so well. These pictures just crack me up. She is 1 month, 2 months and 3 months old in them.

Emma has been begging us for over a week to buy her a lollipop! No clue where that came from, so I asked her where the lollipops were and she said "by the fudge at Scheels" (which for those of you who are out of town is a huge sporting goods store and fudge shop). I don't ever remember seeing lollipops there but I'm sure there are. So, this morning I told her if she was good in church she could have one. Well during church she was pretty good but a couple of times when she began to get loud I looked at her and said "EMMA" and she said "lollipop." What a weird conversation. So, after church we went to breakfast at Mimi's cafe in village point. It was yummy and for dessert, Emma got a little cup of chocolate pudding topped with crushed up Oreo cookies and gummi worms. She said "yuck, this looks like dirt" I told her it was just cookies and pudding and she said, "well, it just looks like Fear Factor." Ok, I admit it, I love the part in Fear Factor where they always have some gross thing to eat and Emma sometimes enjoys that part too. Anyway, we made it to Scheels and after searching the fudge shop and pointing out some lollipops, she found the right one. Of course it was one of those huge round ones.

We then came home and she soaked herself with the hose. Too bad the flowers and trees don't get the amount of water on them like she does. We have nothing but working scheduled for Memorial Day tomorrow...kinda sad...oh well.
Have a great holiday everyone.

busy, busy, busy

Sorry for the delinquency! It has been a crazy, but wonderful few days around here. My first work week went pretty fast and I must say, even though this sounds bad that I actually looked forward to going to work everyday. I have managed to make it to work by 6am and sneak out of the house without waking everyone. Lauren is still in her crib in our bedroom, so I have to put everything I am going to wear in the bathroom the night before so I don't wake her or Dave trying to find something to wear/fit into. :) Anyway, Lauren is an awesome sleeper just like Emma...we are SO lucky. She has not woke up in the middle of the night for probably 3 or so weeks.

Friday I worked only half a day....can't work a full week on my first week back! Aunt Berni was in town from Washington so went to Stacy and Ted's for a yummy lunch and to chat for awhile so she could meet the twins and Lauren. She also made all of the new additions stuffed bears..they are so cute.

Friday night we went to Beaver Lake to my good friend Lisa's parent's house. Her, her husband and their 8 month old son Mason were in town from Denver. We had a wonderful pasta dinner and then hung out by the lake. Emma enjoyed playing with bubble guns and sprayed everyone with them. Dave, of course had to throw a line in the lake and actually caught a nice size bass. I took Emma's pajamas hoping that she would fall asleep on the long drive home and that I could have one night without the long routine of going to bed...but what was I thinking..this is Emma we're talking about. She talked and sang the whole way home....darn!

This morning we went to Dave's niece's graduation at the qwest center. I think there were almost 400 graduates from her class...but the graduation was under 1 1/2 hours. they read the names so fast it was great. Anyway, thanks Stacy for watching Emma during that. She has a hard enough time sitting still for church than for a long graduation. She is already talking about visiting you again.

This afternoon, we had the graduation party at Dave's mom's house. Emma ran around and played football with all of the boys and got so sweaty and dirty. I immediately gave her a bath tonight as soon as we got home. She went downstairs to watch "her shows" and I stayed upstairs to feed Lauren and watch America's Most Wanted and she was just sssoooo quiet down there. I came down to find her OUT on the couch, so I carried her up to bed. Wow is she getting heavy. Anyway, it was so nice not to have to barter about how many books and going to the bathroom and what pajamas to wear and needing a drink and laying with her, and whatever other stall tactics she would have come up with tonight.

Dave had to go back to work tonight, so it's just Lauren and I right now and she is taking a cat nap before her final feeding. Just a couple cute pictures from these last two days.

definately sisters

I don't have too much time to write tonight. I have started working at 6 am....so 5:00 comes very early! I was looking at some old pictures of Emma and thought it would be fun to post one of each of the girls at around the same age. Emma is the one in the Pooh outfits and I think she is a little older than Lauren is in her picture....but none the less, everyday we see more and more of Emma when we look at Lauren.

Fun at Camp Snoopy

Here is the second half of the entry that I screwed up on last night. On our way back from the lake, and after of course we hit an awesome outlet mall outside of Minneapolis, we stopped at Camp Snoopy in the mall. Emma will not let us forget to stop there and we don't mind as it breaks up the nine hour trip. All she could talk about before we got there was whether she was tall enough to ride the log ride. Sure enough she was. Luckily I had Lauren in my carrier, so I didn't "get to" ride it with her. After going down the first hill she said to Dave, "I don't like this." Then after the second hill, they got splashed and she thought that was great. She has this love for cold water. Anyway, before we left she was begging to go again.
Both girls slept almost the whole trip home and we got home at about 1 in the morning.

I must tell you that the case of the anonymous stalker was solved today. I was able to get a confession from the suspect (Teresa, my former boss). Anyway, just like TV....a mystery solved in one day.

Well, that's it for now...I better get on the treadmill while I have a chance before American Idol comes on. For all of you addicts, like me..... Let's just say that my vote is definately for Katherine...don't have a clue how Taylor has come this far...the dancing looks more like a seizure. Take care, Sarah

aahh! Adult conversation....well sort of.

I typed this big long blog entry last night after I should have been in bed and for some reason it was gone this morning. I must have messed up something.

My first day back to work yesterday was just fine thanks to all of the prayers. I got to work at 0635 yikes and proceeded to skim through the 1188 Emails I had. Emma called my at 0715 and yelled at me for being here. She didn't seem too disturbed though.

It is amazing how much stuff lands on one's desk when someone is gone for such a long time. I even found a "pet sympathy" card under the pile, which I guess someone thought I was mysteriously going to sign, so I signed it and gave it to the poor gal that lost her dog over a month ago....oops! That's what you get when you work with lots of guys.

I do enjoy being back to work and working the big cases and the little ones like the investigation into the anonymous blog entry. Yes, Dave has a sweet smile...thanks for noticing. I will be launching an investigation into who is responsible for that :) Guys (Ted, dad, Brian, Dave, Uncle Gene) you don't have to worry as much since rarely could any of you access this site, let alone comment on it. As for Uncle Mel and Butch...kudos to your effort to participate in such an estrogen dominated activity. I certainly have my suspicions as to who is the suspect and or person of interest....and it happens to be male.

Well, since I am at work.....yea, yea, tax payer money hard at work....I can't post any pics, well I have some here but not appropriate to post :) I will try to post the Camp Snoopy ones once I get home. Sorry for more vacation pics...someone has both of my memory cards (mom) so I can't take any current pictures. I guess that's it for now, I have to go to County Corrections to interview a guy....if I can remember how to.

The good and the bad

Today was a fun day here. Tonight was not!

Today, Dad, Brian and Ted came over to help build a new deck on our house. Stacy, mom, myself and the twins went to look at nice homes on the Parade of Homes. We had a great day. I have to go back to work tomorrow, so it's back to reality and getting up early AND looking presentable.

Tonight I reminded Emma again that I had to go back to work and that in the morning when she woke up, I would not be here. She immediately cried and said, "but that makes me sad when you're not here." So I told her that mom has to work so that we can do fun things like going to Minnesota and Camp Snoopy and she replied, "but I don't want to do fun things, I just want you to be here." Well needless to say, before the talk was over we were both crying. I'm sure that things will be ok in a day or so, but for now they are rough.

On a lighter note, here are a few more vacation pictures. Our friends live right on Leech Lake and Emma loves a boat ride and loves to fish too. I told myself that I would be in bed by 9 but it's past already and I'm really not ready.

friends, fishing, food and fun

I should be in bed because I am wore out from the fantastic week we had in Minnesota with our friends and "Minnesota parents and grandparents" Rich and Karen. We have been going to Leech Lake for 6 years and it is the most relaxing week one could ask for. Why am I so tired then? It is a 9 hour drive and we couldn't skip Camp Snoopy in Minneapolis....Emma wouldn't let us pass that one up. So we got home this morning about 1:00am. Both the girls slept most of the way. Lauren is a great traveler and Emma is too once we get her to stop asking when we will "be there." Cold medicine tends to help the trip :).
Anyway, Rich and Karen if you are reading this, thank you so much for another wonderful week and all the wonderful food. Dave and I decided that we have to diet now!
I have so many wonderful pictures from our trip that I will try not to go nutty posting too many of them at once. It is 10:15 and I really should be in bed, so I will post this and maybe add some more pics tomorrow.

What the heck!?!

Since I am enjoying...(ok addicted to) my sister's blog and my cousin's blog, I might as well join in the fun with "The Spizzirri Rollcall." I figured this truly is the best way to keep everyone updated with pics and what we are up to.
This is just a quick entry to see if all of this works and I should be unpacking from our week in Minnesota. I have tons of pictures that I also need to download and post a few, so I will keep this short since I'm not sure if it will even work!
