This was created to keep our families and friends updated in all of our adventures and because I need something to do with the many pictures I take.

Emma's big weekend!

This weekend was a huge weekend for Emma. She has been so excited to hunt with her dad and to make her First Communion. We are so thankful for the wonderful weather that we had. Couldn't have asked for any better.

Dave and Emma went out bright and early Saturday morning and did shoot a turkey BUT Dave thinks they were too far away as the shot didn't kill it and it "flew" off? They went again Saturday night and came home "turkeyless" also. Emma told me that there were only "women" turkeys there.... "no Toms." I am learning!

Sunday was First Communion! What an awesome day we had with the weather and having some family here to celebrate with us. The mass was so nice and Emma was SO excited to be included in this part of the mass.

Since I am so aweful about being able to do the girls' hair...my awesome hairdresser came in early Sunday morning (7) and fixed Emma's hair. It was SO worth it to have it looking special for the day! (Did I mention how fun it is to have girls?) here's a bunch of pics, the first one is my absolute favorite...she looks so sweet eventhough she was getting really annoyed with me...

All the kids made the quilt squares during their retreats this year. Mom sewed this all together with a little help from our friend Nancy!! :) What an awesome keepsake. Thanks mom!!
Emma got this Rosary from Greatgrandma Kaup a couple of weekends ago.

Stuart Nebraska

Well, last time I posted we (I) was packing to go visit great grandma Kaup. I have lots of Easter pics to post BUT first things first.
We had such a short but fun time in Stuart.

I picked up Emma from school about 15min early and already had the DVD players hooked up. As soon as she got in the car she asked where we were going and I told her that I thought it would just be fun to "drive around while watching a movie" :) She didn't question it!

We picked up grandma a block away from the school and when she started loading her bags and pillow again the girls asked where we were going. I told them that we needed to drop off some things at the Goodwill. Emma even looked in the back and saw her suitcase and begged me not to take it to the Goodwill. :)

The funny thing is is that Lauren found her already packed suitcase in our closet and asked Dave where she was going. Dave told her that I was already packing for our trip to Minnesota in May. HA!
Anyway, so we started toward Norfolk and the only person who kept asking where we were going was Marina. She kept saying, "where going?" How funny! The other two were too engulfed in their movie.
So, we got to Norfolk and ate at the Burger King. I told them that we went to Norfolk cause we wanted to eat at that BK. I asked them if it was ok if we spent the night somewhere else that night. Of course they were excited but still had no clue.

Finally, near O'Neill (which is 3 1/2 hours from here) we gave them enough hints that they figured out where we were going. They screamed and screamed in excitement.

Great Grandma is still doing so well. The girls helped decorate a birthday cake for her 88th birthday. She kept asking mom and Emma how old she was going to be on her birthday. :)

Emma is making her First Communion this Sunday and she was THRILLED to have recieved a Rosary from her great grandma.

Saturday was SO chilly and windy but the girls insisted on walking "uptown" so we could get the mail and buy some jerkey and other goodies from Uncle Rod. Emma thought she was so cool "helping" at the meat shop.

Of course we had to stop at the park before we started for home....

That's it... hopefully an Easter post in the next couple of days.
