The Spizzirri Rollcall

This was created to keep our families and friends updated in all of our adventures and because I need something to do with the many pictures I take.

We kinda like the snow!?

Ok, the sun was out and I think it was atleast 20 today so we went sledding after school got out. YES, there was school!!! We had SO much fun and didn't have to go far to find a good sledding spot. We found the best spot next to and behind our house.
I bundled up Marina just to take some pics of the mountains of snow and she was a real trooper. She even went sledding a couple times with Emma but then announced, "all done." I didn't want to ruin the experience for her so took her in to Dave for a little while till he had to go to work.

We have the best drifts in our back yard and they are So hard that I could even stand on top of some parts. The funniest part was when Emma decided to go a different route and ended up going quite a ways, almost to the next street to the North which was fine since it's not plowed. It reminded me of Clark Griswold on his sled. It was pretty fast and a little bumpy as she went through the empty lot. Getting back wasn't the best since it's pretty icy.

After I came in to be with Marina, I looked out the front to find her dragging her sled up to the top of this huge mountain..... uh.... not such a good idea. :) Here are the pictures. We can't wait to share our sledding spots with the twins hopefully soon.

Snowed in....

Has anyone ever seen "The Shining"? LOVE that movie. Just kidding, we aren't really going crazy yet.

In fact one of our neighbors whose wife is WAY pregnant cleared our street with a bobcat tonight so I think technically we could get out if we needed to. :) We have had LOTS of togetherness these last three days which really isn't all that bad.

I have gotten a ton of stuff accomplished so it wasn't the end of world. I did have to take two days off though since there was no way out of our neighborhood.

Dave had court today and had to walk about 3 blocks to the main street and get picked up by his partner. He did the same thing tonight when going to work. :) We have seen neighbors pull our of their driveways thinking they were going to make a run for it but instead just turn around and go back home. Dave and our neighbor had to walk up the street yesterday just to confirm that forsure there was no way out. Dave said that there's a drift up the street that's probably close to 6 feet high. We saw one of our neighbors leave on foot yesterday with a couple of bags.

For all of you who are not in omaha, it is WAY too cold really even to be outside, so the days off of school are spent inside....TOGETHER. :)

We have done many projects and BEAUTIFUL :) crafts and I have Bendaroos stuck to the walls. They all have dressed up in princess clothing and tomorrow we'll make cookies. Atleast we are all healthy and have plenty of milk. Here's a few pics of the kids keeping busy and Dave's "trip" to work tonight.

Happy 2010 !!!

A very quick post tonight! I should be sleeping but need to try to keep this updated too. We spent New Year's Eve day at the bowling alley with the girls and couple of their friends. We had a great time. Didn't do anything that night except ate "bar food" for dinner which was yummy...... shrimp, jalapeno poppers, and mozzarella sticks. YUM

Anyway, I was in bed and probably asleep by 11. Really, it was just another night for us which is just fine.

We had a wonderful Saturday with "the Kaup's" Ate WAY too much but don't regret it and had a blast playing a game with my cousins. The kids had so much fun celebrating Christmas with their cousins and of course it was great to see Grandma Kaup. Here are a couple pics. I really need to get to bed. I act like work is cancelled for me since school is cancelled already for tomorrow for the kids. :)
