The Spizzirri Rollcall

This was created to keep our families and friends updated in all of our adventures and because I need something to do with the many pictures I take.

Costumes

This year Dave and I were invited to a Halloween party and costumes were mandatory. We had a difficult time finding costumes without paying a ton of money. Dave's real life fantasy is being in the Mafia so it was only fitting to go as "mobsters." Mine was supposed to be a pantsuit too but lets just say the pants were a little too small. ;(

We found a cheap skirt at the Goodwill and Stacy sewed some of the pant material on the skirt. Whew! It turned out super cute I think!

Anyway, here is an amazing pic of all three of the girls

Pumpkins and Patches

We ventured out to Valas Pumpkin Patch on Tuesday night and it was the best night ever. There was hardly a crowd because of the weather I guess but I thought the weather was perfect. There were no lines at all and the girls got to do things that normally we don't wait in line for.

Last night we did our Mr. Potato Head pumpkins which are so much easier than carving. We'll leave that mess for Sunday at Amy's. :) Just kidding. Anyway, Lauren's is the princess and Emma's is the witch..... go figure. :)

Our Anniversary

Thanks to mom and dad and Aunt Stacy we had a wonderful, memorable 10th Anniversary!

Dave had been planning this get away to Vegas for a couple months before he filled me in. He was brave enough to bring up the idea of watching the girls to mom and dad and of course they didn't hesitate. (I say "brave" because it's a lot to watch our girls for three days.) :)

We actually went with our next door neighbors which we absolutely enjoy hanging out with. We left the 8th and returned on the 11th! It was SO nice to get away but even better to be back with the girls. They did SO well without us and mom and dad did awesome of course. The girls were spoiled with tons of crafts and plenty of M&Ms.

Our flight was a little late leaving so the guys were totally worked up because that meant missing the first half of the Husker game. We hustled to our hotel room, then to a bar in the hotel to finish the second half. It was NOT a sports bar so you can only imagine the scene we made screaming and yelling as the Huskers came back in the 4th quarter to win. Then it was out on the strip to "show off" the Husker red. We stopped and talked to everyone else in a Husker shirt and the guys even had to share the news of our victory with a couple in a bus stop wearing red and of course Elvis.

Check out these people that looked like statues. Dave thinks they probably have magnets in their shoes! I say pretty strong stomach muscles too.

Friday night was out tenth Anniversary. Our neighbors went to a show and Dave and I went to the Venetian and had a wonderful Italian dinner and walked around the beautiful hotel. No gondola ride though. Maybe in another 10 or so, we'll take a real one in Italy.

Saturday night we spent downtown. The canopy is so cool and the people watching is pretty cool too.

Again, THANK YOU to mom and dad for taking such good care of the girls and Stacy for helping out too so we could enjoy our weekend away!!

Tonight is Emma's first sleep over and I'm sure she is having the best time ever. I can only imagine the "sillyness" all night. Amy, I am praying that you all get a few hours of sleep. I can remember when we all had a sleepover together, it was very challenging for our parents. :)

Anyway, Lauren is having a fabulous night too. Dave and I took her to Partly Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs tonight. It was a pretty cute movie overall and she enjoyed her dinner of popcorn, pop, and M&Ms. I figure one night of junk for dinner can't hurt her too badly right?
(don't answer that)

Now, instead of going to bed, Dave had this great (?) idea for him and her to make caramel apples since it's ONLY 9:00. No wonder the girls like it so much when he's off of work for the night. There's no strict bedtime like when it's just me at night. ;)

Thanks to mom and dad for AGAIN watching Marina so we could hit the theater.!!

Check out this cute pic of the work that's going on in the kitchen right now. (I may just go to bed) :) They are so engrossed in their apples that neither will notice.
