A New "Do"

Well, to go along with the new snaggletooth smile comes a new hairdo..........

We had a WONDERFUL weekend here with family get togethers and a BEAUTIFUL wedding and fun reception. I have no pics to post though because I was busy with Stacy's camera. Thankfully she posted a couple pics. I won't go on and on about this weekend cause she pretty much spelled in out in her blog. We love being with family, miss our cousins when they are not here, and love to eat. :)

Anyway, about a week or so ago we noticed that Emma had a big tooth coming in behind her baby teeth on the bottom. She was so excited about it since she is the only one in her class that has not lost a tooth yet. I called the dentist and sure enough something needed pulled. I remember having several teeth pulled growing up and it wasn't the coolest experience. Anyway, my strange little daughter was THRILLED that the dentist wanted us to come in to have a tooth pulled. I think she is just so excited to be losing a tooth.

I picked her up after school and she was in the best mood ever on the way to the dentist. She had a huge smile when she climbed into the chair and the rest is history including 3 front bottom teeth. :) Not a tear, not a wimper, nothing. Strange girl!!! Her adorable baby teeth smile is no more, which is kind of sad. Atleast we already had school pics for the year because she looks pretty darn funny right now. I went in her room a little bit ago to check on her and give her a little ibuprofen and she woke up and said, "oh mom, I was hoping it was the tooth fairy." I told her that she wouldn't come till later. :)

Here is a pic of our little snaggletooth girl. She can't wait to go to school tomorrow because they have a "lost teeth" chart in their room and now she can finally contribute to it. Good for you Emma!!!

apples and pumpkins

Have I ever mentioned how awesome this time of year is? Between the apples, pumpkins, weather and football, what could be more perfect?

Anyway, we took a road trip to Nebraska City today for some apples. Yes, there are apples in the grocery stores.. :) but it's the whole trip that we needed. The leaves weren't really changing too much yet but atleast the weather was gorgeous. I have already made two batches of apple crisp and we have many apples left.

Yesterday, the twins came over and we finished our pumpkin tshirts. They are all very unique because the kids all "drew" their "pumpkin faces" on them theirselves. I am kind of a freak about letting them draw whatever and not trying to help make actual pumpkin faces. It took all I had when Lauren grabbed the sharpie and started drawing away. I'm getting better though (even letting them mix playdoh) Yea, yea, I know. The tshirts are adorable! Here's a pic of the four of them proudly modeling them.

Well, halftime is probably over and I'm trying to stay up to finish this game, even if it's a blowout. :)
