The Spizzirri Rollcall

This was created to keep our families and friends updated in all of our adventures and because I need something to do with the many pictures I take.

Project complete

Today I went to Mulhall's AGAIN, BY MYSELF :) and finished buying "stuff" for yet another landscaping project. I would say "we" planted all afternoon, but that might be a little of a lie. Dave did pretty much everything while I ran in and out of the house keeping track of the girls and that no one was getting to the little one.

I have to say the project turned out great and the best part is that we don't have to do much of anything with the things that we planted and no weeds should make their way through either!!!

Today was my actual "due date." It's hard to believe a whole week has passed since Marina was born. Part of it is such a blur. Of course I can't have a "post" without a picture of my angel. We laid her on her tummy today during dinner. Of course we kept a close eye on her and she slept so well. Hopefully she won't rub off all that pretty brown hair. :)

First bath

Last night was Marina's first bath. Just a sponge bath now until her cord falls off. Lauren is absolutely disgusted by that and even holds her nose when she sees it. :)

Anyway, Marina did well considering all the excitement. She puts up with all the voices very well which is a good thing around here.

Lauren decided that she needed some things for her nap:

Could there be any prouder sisters?

A little of this, a little of that

Today was a busy day, especially for Dave. He was just itching to finish his landscaping project on the west side of our house. Poor guy, he was a couple bags of mulch short. Now all we have to do is figure out what to plant there and try to manage to get it done maybe in the heat.

The girls love it when daddy works outside. That means that they get to play in the water which is one of their favorite things. Emma and Dave went to Standing Bear Lake today to ride bikes around the new trail. Dave thinks they probably rode about 2 miles and Emma was definitely wore out at the time but she did great!!
Marina and Lauren and I hung out and napped, which was very nice!! Here are just a couple pics before I go to bed for awhile. We can't complain, Marina slept from 11pm till 3am, then I had to wake her at 8:30 this morning to feed her. What a good girl!!!

CHECK OUT THE THREE SMILES!

A quiet moment...

Right now it is so quiet and peaceful in this house. :)

Dave ran to the store, Emma went with awesome aunt Stacy and the twins to the store, Lauren and Marina are sleeping.

Our little angel was up until 3 this morning. :) I had given her a pacifier, which she loves, BUT each time it fell out, she would snort and whine cause she couldn't reach it to get it back in. Finally we topped her off again with a bottle and she was out till about 6:30, which I thought was great. The other two were up by 7 but my wonderful husband let me sleep and somehow kept the house quiet till 9. SO I feel great right now and don't feel like napping. :)

So far both girls are very good with her and even when she does fuss or cry, they are very calm and treat her so well which is so special to watch. I am definitely going to enjoy my time off with all of them and am already thankful that she won't have to go to daycare when I go back in October.

This was the beautiful sunrise the morning Dave and I headed to the hospital. What a perfect day.

We had decided to let Emma come up to the hospital with grandma before I went back into the O.R. I struggled with her seeing her sister without me seeing that, but I am so glad that she was there to see her first and watch them take care of her in the nursery. She will definitely remember that morning.

How sweet is this moment.....

How funny is this...

We're home!

This is going to be a very brief post. :)

We got home at about 1 today and are doing very well. Thank you to my sister and dad for staying with the girls and fixing lunch so we could get things squared away at the hospital before coming home. Marina is now 6lbs and 7oz which they said is ok. As we speak, Dave is feeding her a little before we all three go to bed. She is quickly learning that she loves to eat and potty on us.

It may be too early to tell, but she is SO good so far. She has smiled four times today, mainly at Dave and looks like she wants to say something. We are all enjoying her and it has been great watching the girls with her. Here are just a few of my favorite pics so far. I will post more tomorrow.

Doing Great!!

We are doing fantastic up here at the hospital. I found this internet accessthing here in the lounge and decided to check the blog. Thanks Stacy for posting some great pics. I actally sent Marina to the nursery for the night, but not before shedding a tear or two. It was the best decidion I could have made because Dave and I got some decent sleep and if she would have stayed with us, I would have awoke to her every squeek.

Marina's doctor came in this morning and said right now she is absolutely healthy. Did I mention how blessed we truly are?!? Dave and I are thrilled to have three beautiful girls even if they wear us out at times.

I'm up, showered and ready to take a few laps around the floor! I feel great but am wondering how much of it is the percocet. :) I'll try to post more later.

She's here! She's here!

Hi all! This is Stacy, Sarah's sister and guest blogger for the day. I could have lots of fun with this blog now that Sarah has given me the password :) but I won't. I'll do what I came here to do... post about the newest addition to the family!

Baby Marina Claire is HERE! Born this am at 8:42am. She was I believe, 6lb 13oz, which is a big baby for Sarah!!!

Mom and baby (and daddy, Emma, and Lauren) are all doing well. We went up to visit this afternoon and brought Emma home to "rest." For those of you who know Emma well... "rest" is really in name only... she actually went home to give Sarah a break! :) :) :) Unlike when Lauren was born (and she was much younger obviously) Emma is in LOVE with baby Marina. I'm sure Sarah will have her hands full at first. In the short time we were there I think she said, "be careful with the baby" about 10 times!

Who does she look like? We can't seem to tell just yet... but how about that hair?!? Isn't it just cute cute cute? We got her a onesie that says, "bad hair day" and I was hoping she'd have a little bit of hair! :)

Okay, so Sarah's blogger is different than mine and I can't figure out how to move pictures around with this version... so you're getting all the pictures at the top.
CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS Spizzirri family!!!
We're thrilled for you!!!!!!

Ready or Not.....

Here she comes. :)

It's after 10pm and I should be packing my bag. Instead, I have to check the blogs and the Emails.

Our house is so quiet tonight as we dropped off the girls at grandma and grandpa's for the night. I hope they get some sleep cause I'm not sure if I will get too much.

I already had one dream that I slept through my alarm and "missed" the c section. Dave and I will both set alarms tonight "just in case."

I'm not sure if anyone will be reading this tonight but Stacy is going to take a couple pics of the new baby and post them on this blog tomorrow. (thanks aunt Stacy)

Emma, grandma, and I all got "express pedicures" today and Emma thought she was so grown up.

After the pedicures, in the car Emma said, "mom, how can some people rub other people's feet like that, that's disgusting." "They have all those floor germs on them." (I have to agree Emma but good thing there are people that don't mind. ) :) We went out to lunch and did a little shopping.

I'm not posting a pic of my swollen, scary white feet next to Emma's. :)

Of course Lauren needed hers painted too when we got home.

Dave and I dined at Red Lobster, picked up a little gift for each of the girls from the baby, and then headed to Walmart to complete our mini "date night." (how pathetic to end the night at Walmart but oh well, we needed diapers and Cheerios, two huge essentials.)

Here's the girls ready to go:

Check back tomorrow for our newest addition. Wish me luck sleeping and waking up on time. :)

Party Time again...

Today was Emma's little party with some of her school friends at this gymnastics place. It is a very easy place to have a party especially when you have your sister, mom and husband there to help with the festivities. (Thanks, mom and Stacy) (where are you when I need you at bedtime) (just kidding)

Anyway, this was Emma's first official kid party and boy was she excited. She had to hug/nearly tackle each kid as they arrived. The kids are so cute at this age. Of course we heard a lot of "open my gift first." After cake, icecream and gifts, they had an hour with a teacher on the gymnastics equipment which was a huge hit and all we had to do was sit around and take a few photos. :)
Here are a couple pics from the party....
yep, another flip flop cake....

What a cute crowd...

probably should have changed my shutter speed... :)

We even had to sign a waiver... :)

Check out Emma on the trampoline

I must not forget too to thank good old grandpa for sitting at our house among other things while Lauren was napping. :)
And, another thanks to mom for coming over to help BIG TIME with several little baby preparation projects that I had gotten myself into. I can't show either of the projects yet because one has baby's name on it and the other will be much cuter when the time comes. We are getting ready finally although I am physically ready. It is amazing how I was ready 2 months early for Emma to come with everything all washed and ready to go. I guess one can do those things easier with the first. We drug out our old bottles today and even some of Aunt Stacy's nice bottles and got them washed and ready to go. The girls had a blast playing with them and the pacifiers.....(and fighting over them too of course).

It's 9:45 and all is FINALLY quiet in this house. :)
There are three gals with the dept. that were all pregnant at the same time I was (am). One was due the 18th, one the 28th, me on the 29th and one on the 30th. Well, all three others have already had theirs... I have come to the conclusion that my little one can hear the chaos of our household and wants to hang out in there as long as possible. Oh Well!

Party Time!!

First of all a huge thank you to all of our family who came out to celebrate Emma's 6th birthday tonight. As all of you could tell, she had a fabulous time! It didn't take long for her to fall asleep :)

It truly means a lot to us that everyone took the time to celebrate with us even in the chaos. :)
This is going to be a very quick post tonight....mostly pictures again because I have to get Emma's things ready for camp this week. She is thrilled to be going to Camp Pokomoke day camp all week and it was a great birthday surprise from grandma and grandpa.
Check out the flip flop cake that Emma and I made yesterday. Good thing we made it yesterday as it took a little while but was well worth it.

The three amigos. :)

Emma was VERY excited about her gifts and she got some pretty great ones.

Thanks aunt Stacy for the pinata....

Lauren had a little birthday money so she got a scooter too to ride around with the other kids. She was a very proud "big girl" on her pink scooter.

Tired Yet?

Mom and Dad agreed to watch all four monsters tonight for a couple of hours while Stacy and I ran some errands that really needed to be done alone. :)

Dave was working and Ted was golfing!

The kids had a blast (I'm assuming from the pictures) None of them wanted to go home tonight either but I think grandma and grandpa were exhausted and needed their quiet house back.

They ate, swang, ran through the sprinklers, rode bikes and played in the playhouse, all in 90+ degree heat. YUCK!!

Stacy and I got a lot accomplished and our phone only rang once. We didn't get far from dropping them off and grandma called to tell us that coincidentally all four decided they had to go potty at the same time. HMMM... isn't that ironic. :)

That's it for tonight, we have a busy weekend and Emma and I have a "sibling" class tomorrow morning at Methodist Hosp. that's supposed to "prepare" her to help with the new baby. :) (cross your fingers)

Thanks again grandma and grandpa!!
