The Spizzirri Rollcall

This was created to keep our families and friends updated in all of our adventures and because I need something to do with the many pictures I take.

Adventureland

A couple weeks ago we surprised the girls by taking them to Adventureland with Stacy and the kids and our "Hawaiian cousins." I have to say that we had THE BEST weekend in SO long. Everything about the trip and Adventureland was wonderful. The kids enjoyed the pool at the hotel. Adventureland park is a perfect place for kids our age and the guys even enjoyed some of the rides. We will forsure be going back next year!!!
Here's a bunch of pics from our trip:

The guys wanted to go on this Space Shot that shoots you a ways in the air. There was a 70 some year old lady that had ridden it 50 times already that day....... :O Check out Ted's face as they were beginning to be "shot up."

Emma had to ride every roller coaster and everyother ride that she was tall enough for. Luckily Dave went with her so I could stay with the littler rides. Here's a funny pic of her and Ted and Dave on one of the roller coasters.

Summer

We have had probably one of the best and most fun summers so far. Vacation, Adventureland, 4th of July was SO fun. AND before I post pics of Adventureland and the 4th I want to post a couple of Emma's softball season.

Softball is definitely a new sport for this family and I knew she would enjoy it but had no idea she would catch on so quickly. I hate to say it but it ranks right up there with soccer now!! She caught on quickly to which base the ball should be thrown to and whether or not the girl on base was looking, she threw the ball there. She hit two girls in the head at first base cause they weren't paying attention. Luckily it's a "soft" ball literally! whoops!

Anyway, she wan't someone to play catch with her about every night in the backyard and wears us out!

Of course grandma and grandpa hardly missed a game!

soccer camp etc.

I totally should be sleeping right now except this annoying weather is sure to wake up a child so really what's the point? :)

I have so many pictures and we have kept pretty busy so far this summer which is good for all of us.
Both girls had soccer camp through Creighton University a couple weeks ago and had a ball. Dave took Emma during the day and I took Lauren at night. The instructors/players did a great job atleast with the little kids and they had so much fun.

I was right.... :) The thunder just woke up Emma...

ANYWAY, here are some pics from Lauren's camp. Dave didn't stay for Emma's since it was a lot longer than Lauren's. Wednesday was "wacky Wednesday" so that's why she looks so goofy in her swimming suit.

Vacation

Since we have been back for a week, it's probably time to post sime vacation pics and update this blog. The house is quiet at the moment, which is really rare. Marina is napping and Dave took the girls to the pool.
We had a super busy week this past week and there wasn't a lot of opportunity to get on the computer. Both girls were in soccer camps and Emma had three softball games. I have spent the majority of the day today cleaning up the house since it was very neglected this week.
Here are several pics from our trip. Blogger is driving me nuts and won't allow me to drag photos right so this post is a mess... :)

Of course, again, we had a wonderful week with our friends Rich and Karen in Minnesota. Emma is sure becoming very interested in fishing and would go out on the boat as much as we would allow her to do. Here is a pic of her with the biggest fish of the week. I wasn't there but apparently Dave and Rich thought she was caught up on a rock for awhile.

Each time someone caught a fish, she was nervous that it was going to be bigger than hers.

Lauren fished a little but was really more interested in sitting in a chair in the front of the boat and being the "captain." As the captain, she informed us that she could do whatever she wanted to do and could tell us what to do on the boat. yea right! She took full advantage of the snacks and drinks too.

And Marina Claire was a trooper in the boat also loving her drinks and snacks. She took several naps on the boat and did really well even "petting" the fish at times.
